exterior illumination

Once the inside was decorated, we turned to the outside and put up a few lights and a wreath.

Nathan loved helping Daddy unravel the lights and check bulbs. He's such a great helper!

decorating for Christmas

The weekend after Thanksgiving, Daddy began bringing out the Christmas decorations and we got to work.

Nathan really loved seeing all of the lights and decorations.
It is such an amazing gift for Josh and I to see Christmas through the eyes of a child.

reading books

Nathan has memorized a few of his books. It is amazing to hear all the things he retains.

The Iron Bowl

We came home early from Thanksgiving so Mommy & Daddy could go on a date to the Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Nana & Great-Grandma graciously came and played with us.

We built tall towers...

enjoyed yummy meals...

discovered new things...

and learned lots!
A special thanks to Nana & Great-Grandma for spending quality time with us.
And thanks to Grandmother & Granddad for a special date for Mommy & Daddy.

Thanksgiving

Each year we rotate our Thankgiving plans and 2010 is the Hamiter family. We thoroughly enjoy all of our trips to Brooklyn, AL and the time we spend with Gran-Gran.
We spent our holiday at the cabin and it is always incredibly relaxing... no phones, no television, just fellowship. We have so much to be thankful for!

Lots of rest after a day of chasing Nathan.

Nathan loves helping Granddaddy and Uncle Tyler around the farm.
Golf carts rides are one of Nathan's favorites as well.

It was so nice and warm (a high of almost 80 degrees!) and perfect weather to sit on the porch and rock.
We loved spending time with Amy, Uncle Bubba and Aunt CiCi.

We made some really lovely memories and look forward to seeing everyone at Hamiter family Christmas just a few weeks later!

Samford tail-gate

On November 20th it was unusally warm for November with high of 74 degrees.
Perfect tail-gating weather! The Office of University Advancement decided to get together to help cheer on the Bulldogs.

It was a day filled with fun, fellowship and great food!
Go Bulldogs!
